Hello, I’m Isabella Littleford, a longtime style professional with a lifelong love for exploring the crossroads of high fashion and daily wear.
Backed by 10+ years in style and design, I’ve had the privilege of refining my expertise in Paris, fashion’s epicenter and partnering with renowned design icons worldwide. Those years gave me a clear lens for spotting exceptional quality, innovative design, and timeless appeal. Golden Goose sneakers have long caught my attention, a brand that perfectly combines a pre-worn character with luxury-level build quality. Here, I’ll walk you through my thoughts on different Superstar models, highlighting their aesthetics, practicality, and adaptability.
Whether you obsess over every new drop or just want a reliable fashion-forward pair, I’m here to help you understand the appeal with insights drawn from my years in the fashion trenches. Come with me as we unpack what sets these sneakers apart!
Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (which I originally featured in this post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also worn them enough now that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see broken down further.
So I’m breaking down a bunch of popular FAQs, as well as how to grab them for less, below! Also, if you’re in the mood for more fashion reviews, check out my Abercrombie vs. Agolde jean shorts review, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and thoughts on the Dudley Stephens fleece pullover!
Where were you able to get your pair?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a great deal going on.
I ordered them on April 28th and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast .
How expensive are they?
When I ordered my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their full price is $513.91.
Golden Goose sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how detailed they are.
How is the fit?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.
They haven’t stretched at all, goldengoosesuperstar.org so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up

Is the comfort worth it?
Honestly, they feel great, and only took a few hours to break in..
How do they perform over time?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They have a hidden arch lift that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is one of a kind. And the sparkle on mine? Next-level.
Would you buy again?
Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them discounted is smarter. They’re worth the investment, especially if you find a style that suits you. I chose a loud pair, but a low-key version would also go with everything.
Best places to buy them cheaper?
Here are the spots I found most reliable. I had a 10/10 experience with GGoose.org, so I always recommend starting there.
- GGoose.org – my go-to for these sneakers!
- Gilt – you can sign up for free!
- Vestiaire Collection – you can get $50 off your first in-app order of $150+ by using code WELCOMEUS50
- The Real Real – amazing deals on new or barely used Golden Goose kicks
- Ebay – more fantastic scores on lightly worn pairs of Golden Goose sneakers
- @likeabandit – she highlights loads of GG finds on her Instagram stories, so don’t miss out
Where were you able to get your pair?
Cettire had them on sale and I clicked “buy” right away!
Placed my order on April 28th and they were shipped to me by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast which was a major plus
What’s the going rate?
When I bought my pair in April, I paid around $385, but their full price is over $500.
You can expect to pay between $410 and seventeen hundred depending on their uniqueness.
Are they true to size?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair. They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up a size
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good right away. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since my feet get sweaty. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in synthetic materials. Also, they’re already distressed so your feet just slide in.
How do they perform over time?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
